All Mine...

Hi Friends!  For today's challenge I chose a sketch from Two Scrapbook Friends. I am new to this challenge blog and just loved the inspiration and sketch.  I was so inspired by the layout by Amanda that I just had to use a full size die cut on my layout as well.  I have been hoarding the paper die for some time and this was the perfect time to pull it out and play!

I added a little cardstock behind my die to add a little color here and there.

You Hold the Key to my Heart...

Hi Friends!  I pulled out another photo from my junior prom only this time my boyfriend (now husband) is in the picture.  We look so young, I would love to look like that again!
For my layout today I used a sketch from Scrap Our Stash.  I then combined it with the challenge over @ 1 2 3 Get Scrappy challenge # 7.  I loved this sketch and let me tell you I don't think I have ever used so many elements on my page!

Here's my layout-

For the hearts I made my own template, traced it on the back of the pattern paper and cut.  Next I used a thumb tack to poke the holes!  I found pink and hand stitched all the way around the hearts.  I really love the look.

Recipe-  Paper- My Minds Eye, Chipboard Dies- Colorboc', Ink- Close to my Heart & Studio G, Rub on- Little Yellow Bicycle, Dimensional Stickers- Little Yellow Bicycle, Flowers- Scary Cute, Foam Tape, Pearl strand of beads, Pink fiber- garage sale find, Buttons- Misc.

Around the House...

Hello Friends!  My newest layout was created using a sketch from Scrap Much?  the design  inspiration was a picture from Scrap The Girls and title inspiration from The Paper Girls Challenge #50.  I had a lot of fun getting creative with my layout.

Here's my layout and a few close ups-

Recipe- Paper -My Minds Eye, Paper Pizazz,  Cricut Cartridge- Home Decor, Street Sign, EK Success "Jolee's by you", Buttons- Misc. Die Cut- K & Company

The Paper Girls Challenge # 50
I always have a hard time coming up with a title for a layout.  I called my lil sis and she came up with "around the house".  When I thought about that it was perfect.  My mom had scheduled for a photographer to come to the house to take our picture.  Well she had forgotten, and we were in our play clothes!  She was horrified and then thought oh well this is how they look on a regular basis.  For me the story makes this photo of us even more memorable.

What I took from this inspirational photo was all the colors and the brick wall.

One Pool Kid...

"One Pool Kid" is a layout of my mom with my grandson Isaiah.  It gives me so much joy to see my mom enjoy spending time with my grandson...her great grandson!  I know that is normal but my mom is a snow bird and she is only here for 6 months of the year.  She didn't get to spend that time with my kids when they were little and I wish that would have been different.
I will be entering this layout at Scrap the Boys.  This months challenge was to create a layout with the boys and "someone special".  Great GiGi is very special to her grandsons!

Messy Face...

Hi Friends, I'm here to share a layout of....you guessed it..... my grandson, Isaiah.  He loves to help in the kitchen, especially when it's making dessert.  He knows I will let him lick the beater and as you can see most of it gets all over him!
I used a sketch from Sketch ~n~ Scrap for this layout.  Instead of using three photos I used 2 with one being taller.

Grotto Falls...

Hello Friends,  I'm here today to share a layout I did for Kiwi Lane Designs using for their basic sketch.  I enjoyed this sketch because it was a three photo sketch and I have a lot of pictures from our vacation this past September to Gatlinburg Tennessee.

I fussy cut the bears.

Memories

Hello Friends, I have been pulling out old photos to scrap and I came across this one of me and my cousins from 1980.  Are you old enough to remember the hair?  I posted the picture on facebook and I think all the comments had to do with our hair!  Too funny!  Maybe I should have titled my layout "Hair."  I used a sketch from Stuck?! which was a lot of fun.

Here's my layout.

Jr. Prom...

Recently I came across this picture from my junior year in high school.  It is of me all ready to go to prom.  I felt like such a princess.  The picture doesn't show the pretty soft pale pink color of the dress but it looked just like a Cinderella dress to me.  The photo is not the best quality because it is a Polaroid but it was such a great memory for me that I wanted to remember the moment.

Just Dream...

Hello I'm excited to share the newest challenge at XoXo Scrapbooking.  The February Scraplift challenge for this month is a lovely layout by DT member Heather.  I was immediately drawn to the heritage layout.  Although I did not use a heritage photo, I chose a photo from 2005....which feels like such a long time ago.

Here's my layout, I happened to go immediately to the same paper pack that Heather used in her example.  I looked through others but just came back to the My Minds Eye paper every time.

Cheerios...yummy

Hi Friends, happy Valentines day.  I have really enjoyed using the Bazzill Basics stitching templates.  I think of it as just adding another homemade element to your layout.  One of my goals this year is to use the scrapbook supplies I have had in my stash the longest.  Are you like me and it seems you tend to use newer supplies over the older stash?  Well I'm guilty and I have been trying to pull out and use the supplies I have had for along time.  One thing I have a lot of is the alphabet in sticker, chipboard ect. so you'll be seeing me trying to incorporate them where ever I can.
Today's layout I used a sketch from Artful Delight.  I rotated and interpreted the sketch to fit my photos.  I hope you enjoy!

Wet Fun!!!

Hi friends, I thought I would share a summer layout with you to warm you up!  My grandson loves anything to do with water.  I bought him a water table to splash in and of course we had to get the hose out to really get wet!
I have recently found Kiwi Lane Designs and just fell in love with their technique they call Framing which is a 4 step system: 1.Visualize 2.Cut & Trace 3.Replace 4.Cherish.  You really should hop over to their blog and see how the system works.  I originally had pinned a you tube video and noticed that they had other videos to watch.  I was hooked and watched all 6 videos multiple times.
The sketch is a two page layout but I only did one page.  I love the results and can't wait to try another one of their sketches!

Here's my layout-

 I
The paper pack I used had this coordinating paper and I saw splash's when I looked at it so I fussy cut all my splash's.

Hanging Out with Grandma...

Hello, I hear that those of you up north are getting slammed with snow.  I miss the snow but would only like to spend a little time in it.  I sure don't miss getting the ice and snow off of the windshield and having to heat up the car.  When I talk to my family up in Indiana I love to let them know what the weather is here in Florida.  I love to rub it in.
So while I'm relaxing in the air conditioning,  I have a layout to share. I used the sketch from Stuck on U Sketches.   My layout is of my mom and my son back in 2001.  It's fun to pull out those old photos and see how much everyone has changed.
