Hello Little One...

Hi Friends!  I wanted to finish just one more layout for the month!  I chose the cute sketch from Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge.  The layout features myself and DH visiting our newest grandson on the day he came home.  There is nothing sweeter than seeing your husband adore his grand kids!  Love it!

Here I used a template for my stitching and then I hand cut  my own butterflies and inked the edges and hand sewed them on. I wanted my layout to have a softness about it with a little punch of color.

For my title I printed out my title and cut it our and poked holes to create my own stitching template.  I'm very pleased with the result!

Mighty Machines...Live..

Hi Friends!  When I saw the sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches by Tammi Bennett I immediately thought of construction.  My grandson Isaiah's favorite show to watch is Mighty Machines on Netflix.  He doesn't watch much TV but he will request to see it every time.  I think I have watched every episode 5 or more times.  My husband got a clearing job behind our home and Isaiah couldn't be happier!  He could watch Mighty Machines Live!

Cake Decorating Party...

Hi Friends!  Are you ready for a double layout?  Well I have one for you today.  I'm using a sketch from Scrap Much?.  My layout is of a cake decorating party we had at our church.  We learned how to layer our cakes and make icing.  The fun part came when we got to decorate our cakes.  I wish I had a photo of the finished cakes I think I took photos with my camera and my phone but let me tell you they were actually impressive!  I guess you'll have to take my word for it!

Here I fussy cut one of the coordinating papers and layered them on top.  They are a little smaller but I kinda liked that!

A boy's story is the best that is ever told... Charles Dickens

Hi Friends!  I have a layout of my precious little grandson.  He is such a cutie and let me tell you he has these dark brown eye's that just melt you.  I chose to use a sketch from Two Scrapbook Friends.  I almost forgot that there was a twist to this challenge and you had to use a natural material on your layout.  I had to pull off my photo and my quote.  It worked and I love the results!

All Smiles...

Hi Friends!  Digging into my old photos I came across this one of my husband.  He was 4 years old in this picture and I think he was a real cutie even then!  I was told that everyone always said he had a smile on his face.  I chose to combine a sketch challenge at Feeling Sketchy with a Vintage Challenge at Orange Paperie & Co..

The challenge @ Orange Paperie & Co is to scrap a vintage photo and scrap it in a non traditional way "no browns, creams ect."

This was harder than I thought.  I kept wanting to go to the cream and navy but I couldn't.  It was really a fun

Cool Off...

Hi Friends!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  My daughter came home for a visit and we had a great time going to the county fair and spending time at the pool!  Family is such a blessing and I can't wait to get the photos developed so I can scrap the memories.
My layout is of my grandson from last summer.  We have this great place for the kids to play in the fountain and my grandsons love it!  I used a sketch from Purple Pumpkin.

Little One...

Hi Friends!  I want to introduce my newest little grandson Caleb.  He was born in December and he is the best little baby!  Here I am meeting him for the first time.  I'm entering my layout into the sketch challenge at
Colorful Creations.  The sketch was a super easy one and it was a great sketch to use up those scraps-!! Love it.

I found this little quote online but didn't see anyone to credit.  I did change it just a little.

I hand stitched the little X's and Button on my layout.

I fussy cut the stroller from coordinating paper.

A Florida Winter Playground...

Hi Friends!  I have a double page layout to share with you today.  It's a rare thing to be able to scrap any pictures with snow because I live in sunny south Florida.  I had a lot of fun being able to work with these photos of my precious grandson tubing at winter festival in our town.  He had so much fun going down the ramp of snow!  I used a sketch from Kiwi Lane Designs DT Doodles #6.

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge
Scrap or art journal about a favorite song from your teens.  You can scrap some of the lyrics, or the title, or a photo of the band...

For this challenge I chose a song from the Beach Boys "Surfin' USA".  This song came out in 1963 before I was even born but I loved it in my teens and I still love when I hear that song.  I thought my photo of my daughter and myself worked perfectly with the song as well!  If you look closely she is holding a banjo and we are in cutouts with a beachy theme.

I really hope you will join in the scraplift challenge this month at XOXO!

Have a Blessed Day!
